Primetimers Fall Trip

Our Primetimers had a wonderful fall trip. We left last Wednesday for Charlotte, NC. We had a leisurely drive to Concord, where we enjoyed lunch at Sonny’s Bar-BQ and then spent some time shopping at Concord Mills. That leisurely drive changed when we visited the Lowes Motor Speedway and took a tour of the track. We even got to take a lap around the track. Wednesday night we attended the Missions Conference at Harvest Baptist Church in Rock Hill, SC, the church that I started back in 1992. On Thursday we drove to Lattimore, NC where we visited Ambassador Baptist College. We were able to tour the campus including the Turnage Hall dormitory. We then drove to Landrum, SC, where we visited with Pastor Steve Wise. We were able to see what the Lord is doing in his ministry. We also visited with Amy and the Pittmans. We then drove to Greenville, SC, where we stayed on Thursday and Friday nights. We enjoyed a delicious meal at Ryans and went shopping at the Haywood Mall. On Friday, we toured Bob Jones University. We saw the multi-image presentation, the War Memorial Chapel, the Archives, the Jerusalem Chamber, the Seminary, the Rodeheaver Auditorium, and the Founders Memorial Amphitorium. We visited with Chris Godwin who showed us around. We then toured the Art Gallery and visited the Planetarium. Friday night we drove to Clemson, SC, where we had dinner with pastor’s parents at their new house. Saturday we stopped at Hamricks and at the Prime Outlets in Gaffney on our way home. Needless to say we are all a little bit tired.
