More Osteen False Teaching

osteen.jpgI am not one that likes to get political with my posts. I am very concerned though when a preacher, especially one who is as prominent as Osteen, is misleading good people. Approximately 50,000 people attend his church each weekend and his television broadcast reaches millions. On December 23, Joel Osteen appeared on Fox News Sunday and was asked the following question by Chris Wallace:

WALLACE: And what about Mitt Romney? And I’ve got to ask you the question, because it is a question whether it should be or not in this campaign, is a Mormon a true Christian?

OSTEEN: Well, in my mind they are. Mitt Romney has said that he believes in Christ as his savior, and that’s what I believe, so, you know, I’m not the one to judge the little details of it. So I believe they are.

Whether you think Romney would make a good president is not the issue that bothers me. Whether you see him as a true believer or not is critical to your understanding of the true gospel.

Ken Silva at Apprising Ministries has the details (transcript and video), taken from Osteen’s December 23 appearance on Fox News Sunday.
