The Pipeline to Power

Jesus had just experienced a brutal Sabbath day. He had begun the day in the synagogue where He taught the people and cast out a demon. He later healed Peter’s mother-in-law and then after the word spread it was as if the entire town came to Jesus. He spent the evening meeting and healing people from all over the village. A busy day before though does not prevent Jesus from arising early Sunday morning. While everyone else is in bed, Jesus rises and quietly makes His way out to a private place. Jesus had a planned prayer time, a private prayer time and a prolonged prayer time. His life modeled what it takes to have real power in our lives. He was a man of prayer and a man of purpose.
